Licensing services
Not every shop in Hong Kong can be used as a restaurant. If it was formerly a retail shop, a large amount of money will be invested.
Real estate agents in the catering industry will go to the site to conduct a preliminary environmental analysis according to the customer’s needs, whether the store complies with the basic licensing regulations or transfer the license.
For example:
- Address ventilation systems.
- Proper water supply and drainage systems are installed.
- There are no illegal construction works on the premises.
- For modifications and additions, proposed project drawings must be submitted.
- The premises must be designed and constructed with fire-resistant construction and adequate means of escape.
- The area of the premises must be suitable for the installation of fire water tanks for the shower system.
- Restaurants located on the fourth basement floor or below, the lower floors of schools, and the lower floors of residential care homes are not issued restaurant licenses.
